I have always enjoyed making the best of everything and sharing. When I was 16 years old I adopted a little girl from India named Eurpita. Through the Christian's Children Fund I sponsored Eurpita for over 20 years. Sponsorships help provide financial support for food, books, medical and health care, safe drinking water, education and income-generation skills for the child, his or her family, and their community. Sponsorship funds are pooled and used to help meet the individual and group needs of all children in the program, including children awaiting sponsorship. Christian Children's Fund programs help children and families become independent and self-sufficient by encouraging parents and community members to participate in, and actually lead Christian Children's Fund programs themselves.

Another charity I am very fond of is Catholic Charities of Maine. Donated funds here provide an innovative and immediate response to children exposed to violent or traumatic episodes. The goal of Catholic Charities is to provide comfort, support and psychological first aid to children in rural Maine who are impacted by these episodes, either as victims or witnesses. The program helps preserve and reunite families, provides care for children and elders, welcomes refugees, supports victims of emotional illness and isolation, counsels those battling additions, delivers dental services and nutritional programs to children and help instruct the blind and the visually impaired. The hope is that this program will minimize the effects and reduce the long term consequences such as associated stress disorders and high-risk behaviors, which can occur as a result of such exposure.

I continue to actively devote my time to many different organizations including being a caring angel for the ASPCA as well as providing support and services to he homeless population, the homeless veteran's and people with disabilities.
