Modern wedding photography trends have led to more and more casual photographs and less of the group poses. Part of my style includes romantic portraits of the bride and groom, traditional wedding party groups of the families and many of the casual photo journalistic style shots. People often desire misty, romantic and glamorous wedding images, and some people do not like the traditional "posed" pictures in wedding albums. In this case the wedding couple can turn to alternatives such as unposed candid photos, black and whites, toned images and photojournalism type shots. The photojournalism shots are more animated, and might show the bride and her bridesmaids running into the church in the rain, the groomsmen playing around outside, children playing in the sand on outdoor ocean weddings or guests having a wild time at the reception. Wedding photojournalism has been in vogue for the past decade and often the coverage can be shifted from one area to another area with ease.

I have incorporated into the wedding package some glamour techniques that will make the finished portraits and poses totally unlike any other wedding images, documenting your wedding with soft beauty. The photography actually starts a few months before the wedding to capture the events leading up to the wedding and to capture the church architecture and interior, the church sign, property grounds, history of that area, and the reception location.

I get to know my clients well before the event and my clients often comment on my ability to make them feel comfortable and cared for. I try to capture moments that are true, natural and full of emotion. I typically meet with my clients three or four times before the wedding day, getting acquainted in a more relaxed setting. It is very important to get to know the couple as well as you possibly can before their wedding day. The entire process of getting to know their personalities and what they envision for that day is important, and a lot of fun. I limit my wedding schedule throughout the year to just one or two weddings, allowing the wedding couple, families and parties involved my undivided attention. This allows me the time I need to spend with that client before and after the wedding as well as to provide a wonderful experience and beautiful images they can enjoy for the rest of their lives. It also allows me to spend time in the post production work of the images and create an album with images that are wonderful. Nurturing close relationships with the wedding couple is very important.

With the wedding photography an engagement session is part of the couples wedding package. There are couple of reasons for this. One of them is to let a couple feel more comfortable with my presence, and, to decide collaboratively with the wedding couple what the best angles and type of shots are best for the couple. Engagement photography is stress free and it will be much easier for a couple to relax and express their feelings and emotions. It can also be viewed as short training session where I can explain about the different looks on the wedding photos and I can provide my clients with tips about wedding photography. Besides the events leading up to the wedding, the church sign and architecture it might be good idea to start your wedding album with a few good photographs from the engagement session in order to continue the logical time line.

With digital capture the number of casual photo journalistic images increases dramatically, as I can capture more of the behind the scenes images that is not possible or feasible with just film. No matter what your budget or the degree of coverage that you desire in your wedding album, I am committed to giving you a beautiful book of photographs using all of my skill and knowledge to creatively capture your wedding day.

With the latest trend in wedding photography leaning towards a more fashionable approach, a wedding can be a very glamorous event, especially if you have a wedding planner and a photographer who represents your day in a glamorous manner. If possible, make sure you hire a make-up artist and a wedding planner for your wedding. The final results will be well worth the financial investment. Many people never understand what a make-up artist can accomplish. Make-up artists can accomplish miracles and magic, especially from a photographic standpoint, helping to create more dramatic and more pleasing images. A wedding planner (consultant or coordinator) acts in as many ways or in as few capacities as needed. A full-service bridal consultant helps set a realistic budget, coach you on proper etiquette and customs, or alerts you to the latest trends in weddings. A consultant can also be on hand to make sure the rehearsal, wedding and reception go smoothly, as well as help with posing.
